Gringo S replacement shields are injection moulded from scratch and impact resistant polycarbonate thermoplastic. The anti-fog treatment on the shield's interior combats moisture buildup caused by breathing and humidity. The nickel-plated stainless-steel snap-on shield is securely attached to the snap-on helmet shell. Because they come with an all-new baseplate kit, our latest Gen-2 shields fit all Gringo S models. The improved mechanism in these baseplates results in firmer detents for the three open positions. Use a mild soapy water solution and a microfiber cloth to loosen bugs and road debris from your shield, then dry it with a second clean microfiber towel. Based on the AATCC-138 test standard, every shield colour and style provides 91% UV/A and 99% AV/B light resistance.
